Bachata classes in Preston

Join us for a day of Dominican Bachata on Sunday October 15th 2017.

We've got  a two hour session from 10.30am for beginners followed by a three hour afternoon session from 1.30pm for improvers.

Choose the level that suits your abilities or, for the adventurous or those who want to brush up on Dominican basics, come for the whole day. We guarantee that you will learn lots of new things.

It'll be the usual relaxed atmosphere with a group of nice people and there willl be lots of opportunity to practise the steps you have learned.

Learn to dance with Sweet Salsa

It's the day of our latest complete beginner full-day dance taster sessions.

If you have ever wanted to learn to dance salsa then now is your chance; fun, relaxed and informative learning from 10.00am to 4.00pm with Julia and Steve of Sweet Salsa.

You don't need to have taken a step in the past as we will take you from the very basics through to some simple partner moves.

No partner is required.

The price is £20 per person.

Spaces available for Bachata this Saturday

We have a limited number of spaces for our daytime Bachata classes this Saturday June 17th 2017

There is a two hour beginner class from 10.30am where we will learn the basics of Dominican Bachata followed by three hours of partner work at improver level from 1.00pm.

It promises to be a great day of learning and fun and it would be great to see you if you are free.

Polling Day - Class as Normal

June 8th 2017

Although it's polling day and the War Memorial Hall is used a polling station we have been informed that our salsa class can go ahead this evening as normal.

So it's complete beginners at 7pm and the rest from 8pm, all as normal.

We hope to see you there later, whether you have voted or not..

Classes back to normal

We have returned from our dancing trip to Cuba so our Cuban salsa classes are now back to normal.

Tonight, Tuesday 9th May is Clitheroe class at St Michael and St John's Social Centre on Lowergate from 7pm for beginners and 8pm for improvers.

Wednesday as usual is Fulwood Tennis Club, beginners 7pm, improvers at 8pm and intermediates at 9pm.

Thursday is Samlesbury War Memorial Hall, beginners 7pm, improvers at 8pm and intermediates at 9pm.

Class Times for April 25th to May 3rd

Julia and Steve are on holiday from Friday April 21st 2017. Going to Cuba - whohoo!

Some classes are closed, others will have a stand-in teacher and the last is a kind of free-for-all practice session, come social night. Times as follows:

Tuesday 25th April 2017 - Clitheroe - CLOSED, NO CLASS

Wednesday 26th April 2017 - Fulwood with Abigail Wylie - 7pm beginners, 8pm improvers

Thursday 27th April 2017 - Samlesbury - 8pm social dancing - only £2

This all-day class is ideal for beginners and is due to take place on Saturday, May 6th, 2017 at Samlesbury War Memorial Hall, Cuerdale Lane, PR5 0UY.

The day starts at 10.30am and goes right through to 4.00pm and the emphasis as ever is on having fun while you learn. Plus, there will be plenty of time to practice.

Ladies salsa styling with Julia

Due to demand this is a class that should not be missed by any female salsa dancer in the area.

Julia is to present two 2-hour classes specifically covering ladies styling.

You'll learn body movement and isolation, arm styling and solo salsa techniques. All in the space of 2 hours.

This first session starts at 10.30am and finishes at 12.30pm.

The second session is a repeat of the first class and starts at 1.30pm.

Both are being held at Fulwood Tennis Club.
